Czech medical school application deadlines and exams 2027

2027/2028 dates for eight Czech medical faculties: applications, exams and official sources. Conditions still awaiting confirmation in Ostrava are marked.

At a glance

Applications for Czech-taught General Medicine at Charles University’s First, Second and Third Faculties close on 28 February 2027. Written exams differ: First Faculty on 17 June, Second on 12 June and Third on 5 June. The Second and Third Faculties also have separate oral rounds. The application deadline is not necessarily the deadline for every enrolment document.

This calendar covers Czech-taught General Medicine. English programmes, Dentistry and bachelor’s programmes may follow different dates. Each row links to an official source.

What to do before the deadline

  1. Choose the exact programme and teaching language, then register in the correct system: Charles University SIS or MU’s e-application for Brno.
  2. Complete and finally submit the application. A saved draft is not a submitted application. Read your programme’s payment instructions and check that the payment has been received.
  3. Prepare your school certificate, required recognition and translations alongside the application. At the First Faculty, C1 is presented at enrolment; do not transfer one faculty’s document rules to another.
  4. Record written and oral rounds separately. The Second Faculty leaves only a few days between them, so prepare the interview beforehand.

Connecting the calendar to preparation

Check your biology, chemistry, physics and Czech before choosing a study pace. If around six months remain, discuss the six-month subject course. If language and speaking are the main difficulty, consider separate C1 and interview preparation. A NaMED course timetable does not replace the faculty’s official calendar.

Plzeň, Hradec Králové, Olomouc and Ostrava

These faculties are included in the table. Ostrava publishes an examination window, but its full conditions section is still labelled 2026/2027; check your invitation for your individual date. Each faculty guide provides sources and limitations.

Frequently asked questions

Is 28 February the deadline for every Czech medical programme?

No. It is confirmed here for the listed Czech-taught programmes. A different language or subject may have a different deadline.

Can I simply choose an alternative date?

No. An alternative date requires an application and approval under faculty rules. It is not a second attempt after an unsuccessful test.

Should I wait if I have not received my school certificate?

Check your programme: applying and proving completed education are separate stages. The First Faculty does not require enrolment documents as attachments to the initial application.

Your next preparation step

Start with the subject test and compare your result with your chosen faculty’s format. Discuss a one-year or six-month course for subjects, or the separate C1 programme for Czech and interview preparation.
